Hey everyone. It’s been a while. I have been extremely busy over the last month and haven’t really had the time to post any new recipes. That’s not to say I haven’t been working on anything. Summer is here and I have a lot of things I want to try out.
This summer for me is all about enjoying the outdoors and enjoying food in the outdoors. So that means Barbecues and picnics! I’ll be sharing with you some of my summer time BBQ favorites, from Beer can chicken to a low and slow smoked pork butt! Not to mention some great healthy options for summer snacks for you and the kids.
I also have some other exciting news….. I’ve just moved house and gotten myself into a bigger kitchen and even purchased my self an oven! Now for anyone who has spent anytime living in an Asian country like Japan, you will know that their oven game is deplorable. Basically no house or apartment comes with a built-in oven and trying to find a decent one is like trying to find a needle in a hay stack. However, I have prevailed and located my self a decent electric oven (I know not gas, but beggars can’t be choosers). Here’s my beauty…
I’ve already done some cakes, scones and a few other baked dinners. Still looking forward to pulling out a roast or two in the future. So this is a big step up for me as I was baking in a tiny little microwave oven with a spinning table beforehand, so this is going to make my life a lot easier.
